Lance 3rd Person Sample
Mar. 29th, 2012 07:18 pmLance was pacing his champion's room in anticipation, having waited for this day for some time. His cape was billowing behind him as he strode back and forth waiting, and his Dragonite was in the corner of the room watching him pace with mild boredom. Lance had put in an order at the Celadon City department store for mounted dratini statues to decorate his Champion's room. He had already had the room painted gold, and had a red carpet leading up to where he and his challenger would battle. All he needed now to complete his vision for his room were the golden dratini statues that he would put on either side of the red carpet. However, this was the third time his delivery had been delayed and he was starting to get a bit anxious.
"Do you think something could have happened?" He asked his Dragonite, thinking that perhaps he should go check on his delivery, in case some thugs had tried to intercept the delivery for the gilded statues, that had cost him a fair chunk of his Champion's salary. Just as he was about to go leap on his Dragonite and fly to the Celadon Department store, the doors to his champions room swung open as several machokes carried in heavy boxes that must contain his precious cargo. The trainer in charge of these machokes finally made his appearance, with a clipboard in his hands.
"Hey there Mr. Lance. You're the one who made the order for these statues right?" The man asked as his Machokes started placing the boxes down on the Xs that Lance had marked on the floor for them. Lance beamed with delight as he made his way over to the man to sign for his order.
"Ah yes, that is correct my good man. I must confess you had me a little worried when this order had been delayed so many times, but I can see that you have finally brought them to me, and that's what is important." Lance was signing the paper with his flourishing signature when he noticed something, very, very wrong. The paper said that the statues were... Pachirisus? "Wait, hold on a moment. This isn't right, I had ordered dratini statues, what are these supposed to be?"
"Eh? Dratini statues? That's not what my boss said, he told me you were asking for pachirisu statues." And to Lance's horror the machokes opened the boxes to reveal garishly pink and blue pachirisu statues, rather than his noble golden dragon statues. Lance was a man who was very difficult to baffle, but this went beyond mere bafflement, this was downright offensive.
"Pachirisu... the electric squirrel pokemon... are you out of your MIND?! I come from a long line of Dragon pokemon trainers! Why on earth would I ever want pachirisu statues?! Pink and Blue ones at that?!" Lance's face was flushed with embarrassment and anger at such a drastic mix up. What on earth would Clair think if she saw him now, with his pink squirrel pokemon? By the gods, what would the rest of the Elite Four think if they see this? His Dragonite in the corner of the room seemed to be in good humor about the whole thing, as it seemed to be laughing it's head off at him.
"Well I did think it was a little strange that Lance the dragon master would be ordering pachirisu statues, but hey rich people do strange things. Anyways you've signed for it, and my Machokes have finished placing them for you, so I guess our business here is concluded." The delivery trainer said shaking his head at the strangeness of the situation. Lance nearly fell over from shock when he heard this.
"Wait a moment, you mean to tell me that you're not going to take these back with you to fix this horrible wrong?! I can't have these things in here! I may have challengers any minute now, and you plan to leave THESE here?! I'll be the laughing stock of all of Jhoto and Kanto!" Lance's dignity as a dragon master and champion would certainly take a heavy blow from this mix up.
"Look Mr. Lance, it's out of my hands, you've signed for it, and I delivered it. You can make a complaint with the Celadon Department store and have them returned later. Just sign these three forms, signing here, here, here, here, and... here.” The trainer said pointing out the points on the return documents. As Lance rubbed his temples, trying to massage away the pain of this horrible moment, he heard Karen's voice over his communicator telling him, “Lance, you have a challenger coming your way.”
This was just not a good day for him.
